Movement and Poetic Creation
Associated with the phenomena of change, mutation, transformation, and becoming, the idea of movement has had a recurring presence in poetic creation. From its material dimension, understood as the displacement or change in the position of a body, to more intangible aspects that refer to the shifting and development of mental or spiritual states, movement is a multifaceted phenomenon that reveals great richness. Particularly the traditionally called “arts of time”—music, dance, theater, literature, and cinema—have been sensitive to this phenomenon, without this being a limitation for it to also be addressed by other arts. Taking advantage of the polysemy of this concept and thinking about the possibility of encompassing a broad spectrum of interests, disciplines, and artistic expressions, Párrafo magazine is pleased to open this new call with movement as its theme and guiding thread, operating as a node for reflection and expression through creative writing.
